The municipality has also stepped in by setting up all essential amenities for the large number of pilgrims arriving in the town. Although Kanniyakumari being one of the sought after tourist destinations in Tamil Nadu throughout the year, the tourist influx reaches its peak during Sabarimala season, apart from other vacation periods.
