MFRD said the vehicle left I-24 East near the I-840 exit and caught fire near the woods. A Rutherford County deputy and a bystander were able to remove the driver before fire crews arrived. When firefighters arrived on the scene, they found the vehicle fully engulfed in flames, but crews were able to quickly contain the blaze.
